What started off as a contentious development resulting from its overbearing design could get approval from Toronto’s Planning Department on January 30th.
Revised from its original design, a joint venture by developers Freed Developments and Minto Group is planned for Front and Bathursts Streets, right beside Tridel’s Rêve. The condominium project will boast a 19-storey building on Bathurst attached to a 15-storey building at Niagara Street. Streetcar Development is at it again!
This time, it’s in the form of a 12-storey, 340 unit (approximately) condominium at 349 Carlaw Avenue, with the majority of the height and density centered around the corner of Carlaw and Dundas.
The plan is to leave the 3 storey commercial/industrial building currently located at the site, but build stacked condo townhomes on the East side of the building with the ground floor of the townhomes consisting of live work spaces.
